I quickly finished my “Maid of Honor” dress before the wedding. I didn’t have the time or energy to think hard about what kind of top I should design. Instead, I free handed a simple bodice pattern for the top portion of the dress. I plan to use the embroidery piece for a more traditional Ukrainian blouse, so I wasn’t too concerned about fit or quality.
The skirt hemline was a bit longer than I would’ve liked it, but I decided to go the conservative route for the skirt since I went sleeveless on top.
Overall, I liked the outfit and it was a great way to remember my babcha 🙂

simple and beautiful maid of honor dress! the whole wedding looks lovely. Can’t wait to see your mother’s dress that you made! I bet she looks beautiful in it =).
I have just discovered your blog through seeing one of your posts on Kollabora. Your sisters wedding dress is stunning — I just LOVE the shot of the lace edge of her skirt, beautiful. And your Maid of Honor dress is so so beautiful too. I’m off to explore the rest of your lovely blog now!!
