I recent­ly fin­ished a cus­tom men’s wool coat. The design is sim­i­lar to the man’s old and favorite win­ter jack­et.

(The sewing pat­tern was cre­at­ed from scratch.)

Mens Outerwear Details:

~Out­er mate­r­i­al is 100% black melton wool

~ Inside lin­ing is a warm and thick quilt­ed silk lin­ing. (I cre­at­ed the lin­ing myself by quilt­ing 100% cot­ton bat­ting to 100% black charmeuse.) 

~ Black real leather but­tons down the front and on the cuffs

~ Front but­ton holes are hid­den down the cen­ter of the jack­et. (I did this to give the jack­et a clean and chic appearance.)

~ 7 pock­ets in total (The man request­ed lots of pock­ets!) There are 2 front welt pock­ets, one upper chest & invis­i­ble zip­per pock­et, two out­er shell side pock­ets, and 2 inside lin­ing pockets.

~ Bespoke col­lar (Col­lar is made using tra­di­tion­al bespoke tai­lor­ing tech­niques to give the thick wool col­lar a beau­ti­ful and per­fect roll. This work is labor inten­sive, but cre­ates beau­ti­ful results.)

~ “DUA” hand embroi­dered on the under­col­lar (There are more hid­den mes­sages embroi­dered through­out the jacket.)
