Hand Painted Lace Leotard

Flower Girl Dress

For the third year in a row, I’ve had the honor to make Miss Cataleya’s birthday leotard. This year, she chose the hand painted lace #5284 leotard with bright orange and yellow florals and back champagne buttons. The bodysuit is lined with shimmery gold rayon. This piece is custom made and part of the House of Godfrey Collection. Shop the leotard on the Anagrassia website here (Anagrassia tulle skirt is pictured...

So Much Dishonesty in One Photo

The girls in this photo were some of my first customers. I’ll never forget them because I really enjoyed working with them and they were the first ones to ever wear (and helped design) the #0908 lace leotard. But in just this one screenshot, you can see so much dishonesty. First, the image was watermarked by 2 (maybe 3) different Chinese companies. Second, the photo is used for another Etsy...

The NEW Bergé (Flower Girl) Dress

Flower girl dress lace embroidery bubble

Here are some photos of the new Bergé Dress. (Some photos show the early skirt samples- with no embroidery and different fabrics.) Ukrainian Easter eggs, Imperial Fabergé eggs and Beranger, a musician who I worked with while I finalized the dress design, inspired the design and name, Bergé. This design is for the fun and chic girls!  There’s a separate petticoat to wear under the skirt- for a fuller/bubble appearance. (Gigi is not wearing the petticoat in the b/w...

The Calling of the Artist

Ukrainian Seamstress Tailor Mary Grace Godfrey

The best things in life uplift us. I am not talking about elevators when we need to get to the top floor, (although that is nice). Rather I am talking about lifting our spirits as we go about our day-to-day activities. This is the role of the artist, who “give us enthusiasm to do our work” as St. John Paul II said in his famous Letter to Artists. Beauty speaks...
