Stoles are a sign of one being ordained in the Catholic Church. So it’s only fit­ting for a new priest to receive a spe­cial hand-embroi­dered stole for his ordination. This stole was com­mis­sioned for an ordi­na­tion gift in Scotland. Here is anoth­er adult cape I made this season. This cape was made with 100% wool and gold Irish buttons. I used Bur­dastyle’s 9/2015 #115 sewing pattern. The only change I made to the pat­tern were the place­ments of buttons/buttonholes. I also hand-stitched all the edges/hems of the cloak, instead of adding piping/bias tape trim.
