Mother of the Bride Dress & DIY Ukrainian Wedding Part 3

I love look­ing through old pho­to albums, but it’s espe­cial­ly fun when they con­tain old pho­tos of my parents!

I can remem­ber the first time I saw this pho­to of my par­ents on their wed­ding day. I was a young girl and I nev­er for­got it! So, I thought it would be fun to dig it up and scan it for the blog post today!

My mom’s moth­er of the bride (MOB) dress was my sec­ond MOB dress I’ve made.

(I hope to post some­thing soon about my first MOB dress!)

I’ve enjoyed build­ing these MOB dress­es! First, it’s fun to challenge/expand my skills! Sec­ond, brides’ moth­ers have more design options to choose from and it’s excit­ing help­ing them choose the design, col­or, fab­ric, and acces­sories! But last­ly, they are the ones that should be hon­ored and deserve to look & feel great on their daugh­ter’s wed­ding day. With that said, I loved mak­ing my sis­ter’s wed­ding gown- but there’s some­thing extra spe­cial about mak­ing a dress for my moth­er (or for a moth­er of the bride)!
