Matching Champagne Wool Coats with Cognac Leather & Wide Collars

This year, Gigi and I are wear­ing the new coats I have avail­able for sale in my  A N A G R A S S I A  shop. (Read about last year’s annu­al “AUNTIE & ME” match­ing wool cash­mere coats here.)

The coats are made from 100% cham­pagne wool and cognac leather. My coat (the adult style) cuffs are made from gen­uine cognac leather and Gigi’s (kid’s) cuffs are made with beige (100%) wool. Both coats are ful­ly lined with poly­ester lin­ing or ten­cel. (*Ten­cel is a sus­tain­able & cel­lu­lose fab­ric which has a great weight & drape. It’s also breath­able and warmer than oth­er lin­ing fab­rics.) The enclo­sures are made from gen­uine leather cognac buttons.

With the excep­tion of the adult upper bodice, both coats are made from self-draft­ed pat­terns. I used an old (and loved) Bur­dastyle pat­tern to help build the bodice of the adult coat. (I used the pat­tern from the 2014 East­er Dress Bolero pattern.)
