Dur­ing the Coro­n­avirus shut­down, the world was shel­tered in place and the church­es were forced to close. Even though the world isn’t ful­ly opened at this point, we are slow­ly reopen­ing. It’s real­ly nice to have our church­es open and the sacra­ments admin­is­tered again. 

In the last few weeks, I received pho­tos from (old) cus­tomers and friends who bap­tized their new­borns in Ana­gras­sia gowns passed down through their fam­i­lies. (Thank you for shar­ing your pho­tos! <3) I’ve also made a few new gowns for cus­tomers and friends, which I’ll try my best to share them on the blog over the next month.

I just fin­ished anoth­er Ukrain­ian hand embroi­dered chris­ten­ing gown for a baby boy. This design is very spe­cial to me because it’s a remake/version of the boy’s bap­tismal gown my babcha made for fam­i­ly and friends. (See first blog post here: Ukrain­ian Boys Bap­tismal Gown.) Over the years, the design has improved and changed a bit. The gown I just fin­ished is the best one I’ve made to date. I real­ly love satin but­tons down the back (instead of hav­ing hid­den front snaps) and the clean pin tucks down the front and back.
